Bailey - 3 Months

Bailey Beth is 3 months old today!  She is starting to find her voice and is getting more and more vocal.  Guess she figures she needs to get her 2 cents in around here.  She sucks on her fists a lot, but no fingers or thumb yet.  She is completely fascinated by her feet and will watch them contently for about 10-15 minutes straight.  She loves to have her head caressed and recently started rubbing it herself.  She is able to hold small toys now, and seems to like toys with a face best.  She enjoys looking at herself in a mirror.  She is still sleeping 7-9 hours straight then wakes to feed and goes back down.  She's much more into her bouncy seat now than several weeks ago, and she enjoys sitting in the bumbo baby seat.  She will stand for several seconds if supported and now bats at toys.  According to our home scale she weighs 14.5 pounds.  Oh, and I think she looks like her Daddy!

Tyler Funnies

1)  When Tyler is busy brainstorming and thinks of something new to do he says, "IDEA" while holding up his right hand as if waiting to be called on in class.  Once you acknowledge this he proceeds to tell you all about his idea.

2) He calls soup.....poop!  This can get really hilarious the more you drag out the conversation.

3) Anytime Tyler doesn't want to do something he says "It's Bailey's turn".

4) Tyler has recently decided that punishments and getting in trouble interrupt his playtime too much so he will simply ask for his "spanky" so he can get back to doing whatever he wants.

The Big 3-0

Ben turned 30 years old yesterday!!  We had a great day celebrating and Ben really enjoyed his day!  I woke up early and made blueberry waffles for breakfast before church.  Ben opened his gifts and we had cake after church.  Ben talked on the phone and watched football most of the day while I made his birthday dinner.....bbq ribs, onion roasted potatoes, and baked beans.  We are tentatively planning a trip for the beginning of the year to celebrate both of our 30th birthdays since we are limited in what we can do right now with a newborn.

Here are some pictures from the day:

our family....I know this isn't the best picture, but this is how we look/dress when we're just hanging out.....Bailey is usually in a cute little dress or outfit and the rest of us are in pjs or lounge clothes - LOL!

Clemson vs. PC

Ben brought Tyler to the football game on Saturday.  They tailgated with Uncle Brian and Aunt Anna and then sat in the West End Zone with the Harris Family.  Ben said the seats were perfect for a game with Tyler and most importantly in the shade.  Ben enjoyed spending time with his friend, Ryan, and Tyler had lots of fun playing cars with Austin.  Both of my guys had a good time and of course Clemson came away with a win which equals a successful trip.

Funny Boy

Tyler is always making us laugh!  He says and does the cutest and funniest things....all the time.  He's already learned to blame things on his little sister, and he's becoming more and more aware that he is funny.  He recently started slapping his knee when he laughs....it's hilarious.

I got out the walker to see if Bailey was ready for it and Tyler thought he'd give it a try too.  He got in it by himself and I found him like this:

Bailey's First Clemson Game

Our little Miss Bailey Beth watched (parts of) her very first Clemson football game on tv last Saturday.  Of course, she insisted on being clothed in Clemson gear too.
