Mama & Bailey Go to the Doctor!

Bailey had her "2 week" pediatrician check-up today even though she's a couple days shy of 2 weeks.  She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz., was 20.5 inches long, and her head measured 14" around.  So she's right on target to be back to her birth weight by the 2 week mark (which is 2 days away).  Baby girls are expected to gain about 1 ounce per day so she's doing great!  We were surprised that she had already grown 1/2 inch too!!  Bailey's birth stats put her in the 80th percentile for everything.

I also had my 2 week OB check-up today.  I basically just went in to let the doctor check my incision to be sure everything is healing properly and that there is no risk of infection.  Everything looked great and I feel pretty much back to normal.  I even got the all clear to begin picking Tyler up again next week!  I'm thrilled to report that I've already lost 30 pounds!!!  I gained about 60 pounds total this pregnancy!  My body sure does know how to "pack on the pounds" in pregnancy and I'm super thankful it also seems to know how to let go afterwards!
