We think it's so neat that both of our children were born on Thursdays and the 24th day of the month. It's also kind of funny that their birth stats were exactly 1 pound and 1 inch different.....Tyler was 9 lbs 1 oz and 21". Bailey Beth looks a lot like Tyler did at birth to us, but that seems to be about the only thing they have in common so far. Personality wise they seem to be night and day. Tyler was a very "high maintenance" baby and Bailey seems to be quite easy going. We hope this isn't just a phase! Tyler absolutely LOVES his baby sister. We couldn't be more thrilled with how much he already cares for her. He hasn't shown one bit of jealousy so far - we also hope this sticks ;-). Tyler constantly gives Bailey kisses and is always concerned about where she is or what she is doing. It's the cutest thing in the world to watch him with his baby sister.
My c-section went very smoothly and my recovery is even faster than with Tyler. I can do things quicker and easier than in my recovery from Tyler. I am very pleased and thankful that my body is healing and adjusting so well. Ben & Mom have been a huge help and Tyler has enjoyed having them around too.
Bailey went in for her 1st pediatrician appt. on Tuesday and we were sent home with a good report. She had already started gaining weight back from the initial loss after delivery. She only lost about 8 ounces in the hospital which we were very happy about, and she didn't get jaundice.
We are all adjusting well to being a family of 4 and can't wait for you all to meet Miss Bailey Beth!
